Question

I lost both of my parents. my dad when i was 10 and my mom when i was 13. Is there any way for me to find out if I have money waiting for me for when i turn 21?

Answer

If either of your parents had a will and they had provided for a trust for you, that document might be helpful. However, it is possible that a trust could have been set up for you outside of a will. If your parents had an attorney or accountant, you might try asking them. The person who was your guardian after your mom passed away might also have some information about your finances. If you believe there are assets that you are entitled to, it probably makes sense for you to consult an attorney.
