Question

What is the standard cost to utilizing a CPA to help manage one’s money monthly.

Answer

Unfortunately, there is no “standard cost.

Just as prices vary across the country with respect to wages, housing, groceries, etc. The same is true with CPAs.  

In addition, there are some that are better than others. It’s the same as dealing with attorneys or doctors. Some have a great “bedside manners “. Some have qualified by the skin of your teeth on their examinations, some have excelled as far as examinations.

in addition, normally, at the top level of each profession, there are those who perform services “pro bono “. This means that, regardless of the time, regardless of the effort involved, etc. these people are providing a free service in order to help others.

You can check with your state society of CPAs or your local bar association.  

My best recommendation is to sit with at least six CPAs. If you happen to ask to consult, make sure there is no consultation fee. In the event, there is a consultation fee, I would avoid them completely.

If you’re able to speak to a partner you’ll find more generous, wealthier, more knowledgeable, experts.
