I have about $4700 in cash that is unused right now, away from my main accts. I also have a car loan with about $3900 left to pay, and a $200 monthly note. Would I be better off paying off my loan, which would free up the $200/month for other things/bills, etc., or just keep paying down as I do now?? Really can''t make up my mine, and would appreciate a fresh mind...

Hi there! I have 3 remaining debts: a mortgage, a small HELoC, and a student loan. Mortgage = $54k ($642 per month including taxes and insurance), HELoc = $12k ($137 per month), student loan = $53k ($379 per month). My husband just passed away last Monday.I cannot find out if he had life insurance anywhere. I have scoured through his papers with no luck. His job was at U-Haul as part time and he did not have any through there that we can find. How can i find out if there is anything out there to help me.

Hi, thank you so much for taking my question about using a budget. I have written out a realistic budget that includes 12 categories and plans for even some future unexpected expenses. All wonderful on paper. But it takes too much effort to write down all spending as it comes out of the categories. Am I making this too hard? What is the simplest way to keep up...

family member who lives out-of-state will be coming out of hospital and nursing care with mental incapacity. She will need a ''group home'' to live in and we need help finding one.
