Sue T. Meehan, CPA/PFS
Prior to forming Meehan & Associates, Sue was a Senior Tax Manager for Arthur Andersen & Co. where she managed tax compliance, research and planning while serving on national and local tax planning teams. After seven years of “Big 8” experience and lifelong friendships, Sue and her husband, Rich Meehan, CPA/PFS decided to “hang their shingle” on Main Street in their hometown of Moorestown, NJ to raise their three children and spend more time working one-on-one with successful families and their businesses.
Her commitment is to offer her national firm experience and services with the personal attention of a local firm. Knowing her clients personally, Sue quickly becomes her clients' dedicated, trusted family advocate. Her clients benefit from her sophisticated analysis and planning for their income, trust and estate tax exposure while identifying creative solutions and value-added opportunities for the most tax effective family wealth transfers, retirement planning, charitable gifting and financial planning strategies.
Working closely and coordinating with her client’s other advisors, Sue offers hourly and retainer fee segmented financial planning. Sue advocates for financial literacy by providing clients wealth management tools including access to cloud based asset aggregation, allocation and expense tracking. Believing that investment returns should be measured net of costs and taxes, Sue promotes tax aware investing, with her goal to help her clients “Keep it in the Family”.
The multi-tiered practice includes Family Office Outsourced CFO and Forensic Advisory Business Services as well as a customized cloud based accounting department solution for both families and businesses.
Sue was selected as an Ambassador of the American Institute of CPAs. She has earned the AICPA’s Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation, passed the Series 65 examination and is a member of the AICPA Personal Financial Planning Section. In 2005, Sue and her husband/partner were featured in the AICPA’s Journal of Accountancy.
Sue graduated from Lehigh University cum laude with a BS degree in Accounting where she was President of Beta Alpha Psi, the National Accounting Honorary Society, a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the National Business Honorary Society and a founding sister and treasurer of the Lehigh Chapter of Alpha Phi.State: New Jersey
