Question

Is there a limitation on the travel portion of the job search tax deduction, if I want a job in a different country?

Answer

You may be able to  deduct the travel expenses if the trip is primarily to look for a new job.  However, if there was a sustantial break between the ending of your last job and your looking for a new one, or if you are looking for a job for the first time, or if you are looking for a job in a new occupation, then you may be limited in getting a deduction.
