Hello,

I would like to ask a question. I am a 28 year old woman and I lost my mom in August of this year. I am going back to school and someone told me that I might possibly be able to collect her disability/SSI. I was woundering if this information was correct.

I am so sorry for your loss I know how difficult it is to lose your mother since I lost mine five years ago.

Unfortunately, since you are 28 years old, you will not qualify to receive benefits while going back to school.
