My husband and I plan to retire in 6 years (ages 56 and 61) and would like to buy a retirement home in Florida while we are still working. We have 45,000. remaining on current mortgage (at 4.8% interest). We max out a 401(k), 403 (b) and 457 (b). We have enough money in our savings account to pay off the mortgage and make a 25% down payment on a house in Florida...

I am an employee whose employer does not offer health insurance but would like to compensate me with $300.00 pre-tax a month to buy health insurance. My Dad recently passed away. My name was also on his bank account so when he passed, I went to the bank and put all of the money in my name. I am in the military and my home of record is Alabama. I pay state tax to Alabama, however, I am currently stationed in Illinois and have purchased a home in Illinois. Do I have to pay state income tax to Illinois because I''m a home owner in that state or can I still claim Alabama as my home of record?

I am 62 years of age with savings of cash, stocks, retirement accounts valued at 1.5 million. 250K of the amount is in Roth accounts. Where do I find a retirement calculator that will take in to account the 250k roth money as these funds when withdrawn pay no tax. What everyone needs to know is the net dollars they will receive.

I am on disability. My husband has had to stop working and draw early SS to help care for me. He was vested (15 years) in the C&S National Bank retirement program but since it has changed hands several times, we cannot find out how to apply for it. Where do we go for this information?

I recently took out a loan and feel I was duked and cheated because the lender did not tell me the loan used the rule of 78''s it is $9000 and in the end will cost 19000 - 60 months later. What is the best way to try and get out of this, for example put all the money I can into paying it off or save the money in saving until I have one lump sum or what?
