My husband was laid off from Kodak in 1998. He took a lump sum from Kodak for his rietirement but left it in T Rowe Price. With Kodak facing a possible bankruptcy how safe is this money? At this point it is all in the Fund D. This morning on your radio show you eluded to the possibility that it may not be safe. We''re not sure if this pertains to us or not.

I have around 250,000 and I was going to invest with Edward Jones but after investigation I will not. I thought about Fidelity but a friend told me these investmant firms arent insured. Would it be okay to just put it in my savings account for a few months untill I can study and do research and make a good decision?

My husband''s new health insurance has a plan that immediately sends us checks to cover the costs of the medical appointments/treatments until we meet the deductible. I wondered whether we could put those checks toward our credit card balance and make payments on the medical bills instead to pay less interest on our card. Is this a good idea? Thanks.
