My wife and I are currently going through a Short sale on our house. Our Credit Score took a huge hit with the short sale. How long will it take for our Credit score to get back to the 790 it is currently 625. The only debt that we have is credit card debt, which we pay off every month.

I am a retired widow. I sold my previous home and purchased a home nearer my son. I am now in a situation where I am retired, almost 65 years old (in Dec.), and am in need of the equity of my home (it is paid for) to pay my bills. I receive $1700/month in SS and a $350 pension. HELP! Options?

What is your advice for a teenager applying for his first job? this is my situation, and i would like to know what the experts on the subject of money have to say about it,how can i best save my money, and educate my self on things like investment, and just managing my money properly in general..

My husband is a solo practice doctor in southern Arizona. He has 3employees working for him. Our accountant has asked us to start SEP accounts for The company. We have only been in business for two years. So can we open the SEP account just for us,? (the owners) The employees have not worked for us for 3 yrs yet

My mother passed away last week. She was receiving ~$800 month benefit as part of my father''s SSI. She was a full-time housewife but worked for a few years about 40 years ago. Will my father be able to collect what she received, or since she was receiving part of his benefit it will be forfeited? I gather from the forum that the survivor doesn''t actually receive...

My sons best friend is currently living with us, his mother died and he was receiving her social security survivor benefits. He received a letter from the s.s. office stating his benefits would end on June 1, 2012 due to his graduating high school. He wants to continue his education and go to college but we do not have the resources to pay for 3 children to attend...

I have private & federal loans of about $55,000.00 between 2 kids. Some are at low interest rates, but some are at over 8%. We seem to get nowhere paying on these high rate loans.How can we get these loans consolidated to the best interest? We have never consolidated. Thanks
