I am receiving $1629 on soc sec disability each month, not counting the $129 that is deducted out for Medicare premiums. Hello my name is mark, I recieved a check in the mail ($ 1,200) from a life insurance company as a death benifit for my mother who pasted away about 8 years ago. If I sign and cash this check does it stop or void my being able to dispute or appeal the claim amont? I have a feeling the benefit she purchased was a lot more.
