I am 68 drawing $1000. mo Social Security. My Husband is 73 drawing $1800 per month. If w get a divorce can I get part of his social security as alimony.

Hi, I have 1 mil in liability for my cars and 500K for the house. Is it better to reduce the 1 mil on the cars let's say to 250/500 and get a 1 mil umbrella? What is most beneficial. Thank you

I lived 3/4 of the year in england where I was paid by an briticsh company and paid in pounds ( 36,000 dollars equiv.) and in the winter I come to California for work as well and make 20,000) dollars (aprox.) I am married but we file separately. I'm looking for tax advice.

Regarding SS, I am at 66 in 6 months. My spouse is aged 58. Can I file and restrict my benefits, then file for spousal benefits until I reach age 70? Or what is the better strategy at this point with my spouse being at a little lower earnings level ?

My parents do not have much retirement. They will mainly rely on SSI for their daily living expenses. They will be moving in with me full time. I was told that I may claim them as my dependents if they make less than $4000 of income a year. As a combined couple they will probably be receiving about $1900 total a month. Does SSI negate my ability to claim them? Also...

How bad does it hurt your credit to close a card that you don't use and will not use in the future? I already have 2 active cards,one that is pretty much to the max. And a care credit that will be paid off when time due and one for tire kingdom that will also be paid off before interest hits, and a Capitol one that has nothing on it.
