I received a lump sum Worker's Compensation after being permanently disabled. I am now 61. I was wondering if the money would be better served by paying down my mortgage, or putting in an annuity? The only other income I have is my monthly social security.

Is there tax consequences when changing owners on a 529 plan? In a divorce the ownership is changing on a family 529 plan, the beneficiary is keeping the same. the husband is currently the owner, they wish to change to wife as owner and keep the son the same as beneficiary.

Having certain issues in the past has caused me to not address my debt. Is it possible to resolve past outstanding debt. I would like to pay past debt that may be over ten years old. How do I locate past creditors when they are no longer in business, been acquired and/or collection activity has stopped.
