Meet the Money Doctors
We've assembled a volunteer panel of qualified CPAs that have attained the Personal Financial Specialists (PFS) credential for comprehensive financial planning to act as Money Doctors and answer questions from consumers regarding their financial planning issues. The program is offered as a public service and is designed to help and protect consumers by providing guidance on basic financial planning issues.
We specialize in helping clients position themselves to protect against inflation should America’s debt bubble pop. We have developed a six step process we call The Personal Financial Protection NavigatorTM: 1) We sit with clients and discover their goals; 2) We analyze client’s investments to determine how sensitive they are to inflation; 3) We prepare a written report to help each client understand their risks and potential to be impacted by inflation; 4) We invest client assets in a manner that seeks to protect them and help them thrive should an inflationary environment arise; 5) We monitor client investments and meet with them quarterly to keep them on course: 6) We periodically rebalance client investments, and advise them regarding changes to their saving, spending and other actions that are necessary to stay on course and increase their chances of achieving their goals.

With over 12 years of experience as CPA, Jason took over his father's accounting and financial planning practice in January 2008. Jason’s practice focuses on personal financial planning, tax advisory services and accounting for small businesses and middle income individuals. His practice concentrates mainly on clients in the medical, law and construction industries.
Jerry McCarthy is president and founder of McCarthy Wealth and Tax Advisors, a seven year old wealth management firm offering both tax and investment management services. Jerry and his firm specialize in personal financial planning, wealth management (asset allocation and portfolio management, retirement and estate Planning; and Tax Preparation & Planning.) McCarthy Wealth and Tax Advisors is a fee-only, registered investment advisory (RIA) firm.
Sue is a trusted financial advisor and client advocate at Meehan & Associates, where client needs are met through an integrated, practical, holistic approach. With over 25 years of tax planning experience, including serving on National and local tax planning teams as a Senior Tax Manager at Arthur Andersen & Co., Sue has a successful track record of identifying creative solutions and value-added opportunities for the most tax effective accumulation of family wealth.

I enjoy helping clients reach their financial goals through comprehensive tax and financial planning. My main specialty is taxes and I help clients with their tax planning to make sure they are paying the minimal amount of taxes. I prefer to look at the big picture to see what makes sense for the client. I’ve been giving tax and financial planning advice to clients for the past 25 years. I speak to fellow tax professionals and financial advisors on a regular basis on various tax and financial planning topics.
Michael Repak is an attorney and a CPA/PFS who provides financial and estate planning services. Prior to joining Janney, he managed a solo elder and estate law practice. He had 10 years of Big 8 experience. He received his JD from the University of Florida and his LLM from NYU.
David A. Scott is a Vice President with Duncan-Williams, Inc. in their Private Client Group. Prior to joining Duncan-Williams, Inc., Mr. Scott spent 17 years as the Managing Partner at Scott & Pohlman, P.C., the firm that he founded in 1988. Mr. Scott became a Certified Public Accountant in Tennessee in March of 1980. He received a Bachelors of Business Administration from Memphis State University, where he graduated Cum Laude.
Chad has over 20 years of experience serving individuals and closely held businesses in the tax, assurance, accounting, finance and investment areas. He leads the wealth management practice in McGladrey’s Des Moines, IA office. Chad helps clients develop plans for cash flow, income tax, estate and gift, investment and retirement.
